The shopping centre partners with Volkswagen to spoil fathers with a day of automobile excitement

Kyalami, Johannesburg (27 May 2021) – Father’s Day is celebrated on 20 June this year, and the Kyalami Corner shopping centre in Midrand has partnered with Volkswagen to bring shoppers a competition that will get their engines revving.

Three advanced driving course packages with a combined value of R10 550 are at stake, and these are the perfect Father’s Day gifts for discerning dads with a taste for speed and excitement.

The #KyalamiSuperDad competition will run from 31 May to 17 June 2021, with prize winners being announced on 7 June, 14 June and 19 June 2021.

The first prize entitles the winner to a VW-sponsored Safety Driving Course, valued at R3150. This full-day course acquaints drivers with vehicle dynamics, defensive driving and hijack prevention, among a host of other skills. The course is presented by an experienced instructor, and the prize includes lunch and refreshments for the winning dad.

The second prize is a VW-sponsored Amarok 4×4 Experience, which lets drivers put the Volkswagen Amarok through its paces in challenging terrain. The course, which is valued at R3250, includes a picnic lunch and refreshments for the winning dad.

The third prize, valued at R4150, is any motoring buff’s dream. The VW-sponsored High Performance Driving Course let the driver get behind the wheel of a Golf GTI, and learn to navigate different road and traffic conditions with speed and efficiency. The prize includes lunch and refreshments for the winner.

To enter the #KyalamiSuperDad competition and give dad a Father’s Day gift he won’t soon forget, entrants need simply share an amazing story about their father via the comments section on Kyalami Corner’s Facebook and Instagram pages, starting their post by using the hashtags #KyalamiSuperDad and #Volkswagen.

Winners will be contacted weekly, and will be invited to the Kyalami Corner shopping centre on 19 June 2021 for the official prize-giving ceremony. Kyalami Corner also cordially invites shoppers to view Volkswagen’s vehicle exhibition at the centre on 19 and 20 June – this premium motoring brand’s latest models will be exhibited at the entrance court at Checkers, the entrance court at Woolworths, and the entrance court at Mugg & Bean, under the escalators.

The Volkswagen Advanced Driving Academy is based at the Zwartkops Raceway. Open to all members of the public, the programme offers a variety of advanced driving courses, from hijack prevention, to 4×4 experiences and racetrack training. The Academy can also tailor experiences and training to suit customer needs.
